On September, 14th, Thur, Invest Seoul held Japan CVC x Invest Seoul Core100 Demoday IR at Try Everything 2023, a three-day startup festival in Seoul, from September 13 to 15.
This session was held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Conference Hall.
The 4 Japanese CVSs interested in investing and discovering business opportunities with Korean startups, 1)PKSHA Capital, 2)TBS Innovation Partners, 3)W fund, 4)Salesforce Ventures were invited, and 5 companies in AI/Contents/Game/Lifestyle were selected among Core100 companies.
For the First session program, the four CVCs introduced their companies, investment strategies, and portfolio companies.
For the next program session, the selected five companies started IR presentations.
The presentation was made in order of Genesis Lab, Onmind, Nmedia, Carpenstreet, and AIPark.
A total of more than 100 audiences, including 17 domestic and foreign VCs, 67 companies, and 20 government and related organizations, participated in Invest Seoul's session and filled the conference hall. They listened to the CVC introductions and IRs, and many stayed until the very end of the session.
In addition, after the end of the session, each participant had the opportunity to have networking greetings, and from the afternoon, there was a One-on-one individual meet-up with eight more Core 100 companies and participating CVCs who were not able to have meetups due to time limitations.
The 12 Companies participating in the program expressed a high satisfaction rate, saying it was such a good opportunity to meet and communicate with interested investors and partners.
In particular, one company CEO said, it was a meaningful time, not only pitching but also meeting business partners in the Japanese startup VC market.
